We all get dry spells if we're recording, or making art...

What do you guys do during your dry spells, or to get re-inspired during them?

I tend to not do anything at all music related for a few days, clear my head, and let it fill up with sounds... and then it just comes back at a really random ...

Latin America's bass is reminding me heavily of Half-Life 2 music. Also, agreed that real drums + electronica is win.

That was really cool. I wish the 720p HD option wasn't stuttery, though. Was it like that for anyone else? Still awesome in 480p.

Left Side Drive.

The ambience in the beginning was awesome. Really nice soundscape. The subtle kicks coming in was nice, too. I think it would sound better with less sidechaining, and a lower volume on the claps. The 8bit-sounding synth that warbled in occasionally was cool.

Very cool. As soon as I get a new keyboard, I want to do something similar to my old concertmate-670. How'd you go about doing it?

C418. Composed the music in Minecraft, and has a site with a wicked free discography. Awesome ambience. Very inspiring. I'd call him a genius. Also, Carbon Based Lifeforms.

I personally recommend FL Studio. Excellent VST support as well.
