Was just listening to some classics on the bus on my way home today and was listening to the intro to "Tahr" by The Black Dog. The snare bit and rhythm reminded me right away of Jacquard Causeway. Maybe i'm crazy, but its fun how the mind likes to make connections.

Did anyone else hear this nice BoC spot in this BBC World news video about the Paris to Peking Road Rally? Rather fitting tunes for a drive through remote Siberia in a rusty 1940's coupe.

Great track. Still feel like it is BoC's most 'pop music' song ever though, and is an interesting, but odd, standout for this album.

As others have eluded, I think rhythmically, this song is a clear standout for TH. As a music theory geek, I appreciate their seamless use of polyrhythms. I'm a bit confused as to the source of the sample. The song 'Weekend' is by the 1970s Dutch psychedelic pop band Earth and Fire, not the US funk/soul group Earth, Wind and Fire. I can't find reference to the song 'On your Own' from either band.

Impressive song, i've always thought. I sometimes wish for a more pronounced bassline which I add on occasion.
