Haz - Above The Tree Line

All,

I've been on this board for over 5 years so thought I’d share with you fellow Boards fans news of the release of my debut EP which I think you may enjoy - “Above The Tree Line” by Haz just released on Herb Recordings.

Here is a snippet of one of the reviews:

The artist known as Haz makes ...

What about if they both did actually move to NZ and set up there? That would take a bit of time... (Do we believe the facebook location which says NZ as location?).

If the double album thing is true, I wonder why BOC are making it from a time/money perspective (don't get me wrong, it's welcomed). I know they don't really seem to think in these terms, but how much extra time would go into a double album for say 50% increase in price? Indeed how much would it ...

They are much more likely to be evolutionists. They are rationalists certainly. and believe firmly in science, a subject that creationists clearly disregard! I think they would know that the earth is older than 4000 years old and we didn't walk with dinosaurs!

Hey Dave_From_2001. Thanks for the comment. This is the haz from long ago and those are real voices (all mine :-). You still making tunes? I sure hope so.

More of these types of numbers on the myspace.

Cheers
haz.

Here is a track that I'm working on, comments appreciated.

Been on this forum about 6 years, but this is the first track I've posted here. Been making electronic music for a good while now.

The Dreamachine is the subject of the award winning National Film Board of Canada 2008 feature documentary film FLicKeR by Nik Sheehan.

This is probably my favourite BoC track. I have always been interested in how they made that main sounds. To me, it sounded like a guitar, but played on the sampler as piano chords (i.e. created a sample patch from a guitar sound much like they have talked about in the past).

Interested in the ...

I think there is no doubt that this was the case. I also think that boards at that time must have influenced by Black Dogs "Bytes", they really were the innovators of the hiphop drums with spacey synths giving that funky / futuristic sound. In fact there is one part of Happy Cycling when the synths ...

I saw them at the Warp 10th birthday party gig in London - around 2000? - they were awesome! Everyone was mainly sitting down on the floor cross-legged. Seems to remember some IABPOITC getting played. Was all over to quickly though. Nice Super 8 images as a backdrop, especially when combined with ...

Did I read somewhere the Boards were originally from Banff in Scotland? (Before moving to Canada and then back to Edinburgh?) If so, maybe that is the reason they choose such an album cover - both the Scottish and Canadian connections.

Upon looking up Banff on Google maps I notice that there is a ...

Purely speculative but I always thought that Mike (the smaller/older one) is the kind of dark genius one (think Julie and Candy), with Markus being more melodic... (kind of ROYGBIV one). But, clearly they collaborate on eachtrack, I'm just wondering if each has a particular style for the genesis of ...
