I've never done it myself, but I know in the US at least mailing it to yourself doesn't actually work. If I remember correctly it's like $40 to copyright your work, which could be a whole CD of music.

So I managed to write a crappy program that can kinda eliminate sounds that are only in stereo left or right. Thing is the panned sounds generally have some mono component to them so I can't completely isolate the vocals with this method or ...

I've always wondered, if you can remove sounds present in both channels, I'd think there would be some way to only listen to sounds present in both channels. If you could then wouldn't the vocals be a lot clearer?

One thing I am curious about is how messing with videotape as opposed to actual film will be. I'm also kinda curious about messing with the motor speed maybe, seeing if I can get some weird effects that way
