Was reading some Larry Niven short stories but I kind of hated the "sound" of it so I stopped. I wish I could stomach that era of scifi better as there's certainly a lot of really neat ideas, but it's like listening to grampa simpson.

I've abandoned several books this year; something I never used ...

Started running and doing quite a bit more outside things since we've been getting lovely weather here in Sheffield. I feels like its been the longest summer... EVER! But I can't complain since we will probably be freezing come the next few weeks...

There should be a word for the feeling around ...

The Who never made a great album. No-one needs an album by The Who apart from maybe a Greatest Hits (and/or Live at Leeds).

I think that's exactly it. I really like it, but it does sound like they've set out to make a tune that sounds like Boards of Canada.

I do quite like it when artists do that - being quite self-referential to their other work by reusing something - a lyric, a bass line ...
