It's a mountain (actually a volcano) in washington state that I miss a lot since moving to the east coast.

this is actually a view of it from the town I used to live in . Also fun fact, I once identified over 30 different species of fungus in that park where that picture was taken. Basically ...

I did shrooms for the first time last week. I've never felt so incredible!

Awesome! I fucking loooove mushrooms. I wish I had access to them all the time. I also like taking really small doses, like in mushroom tea and not exactly tripping but just getting a little weird and blissful. Me and ...

I had a feeling a lot of people would say 1969 and I was inclined to say it too, but honestly everytime I hear it I'm so captivated by the swirly dreaminess of the background, like someone said it sounds so "watery". It's such a great sound!

I keep getting logged out too.

Yeah, I looove headphones. For some reason I wasn't using them for years, and now that I've got a decent pair I went back and listened to a bunch of music I'd never heard on headphones and it's a whole new experience.

Speaking of non-fiction, I love memoirs and I just picked up Elf Girl by the Rev Jen.

I just visited the troll doll museum she runs out of her lower east side apt in nyc and felt like she was a kindred spirit, just a really chill weirdo artist and all around cool person carving out a space for ...

For some reason I haven't had any real bacon cravings all this time, although I'll concede that bacon is magically delicious. I think my body is really craving more fats because of the cold.

Last time I broke my vegetarian streak like 15 years ago it was with a hot dog. A hot dog! What would Freud ...

I go through periods where I have no interest in reading fiction, which is weird because that's all I used to read.

Right now I'm reading this book called "Between Women: Friendship, Desire and Marriage in Victorian England". I wouldn't say it's exactly about lesbianism as we define it today, but ...

Grey Gardens. I love this movie, it's a cult classic documentary from 1976 that follows an eccentric mother and daughter (relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy) who live together in a crumbling mansion together on long island with a bunch of cats and raccoons and memories. I find them so interesting and ...

Last year I found myself in a really heartbreaking situation. I thought I met my soulmate, the man I was going to marry. He promised the world to me and I believed him with all my heart. Then I found out about his wife :(

But strangely enough, against all odds, she's become one of my best friends ...

Not really. I have a sort of taoist take on the world and I pray sometimes (no idea to what I'm praying!). I think the existence of a higher power is unlikely, but I have no way of knowing, but prayer helps me anyway (like a lot) so it almost doesn't matter either way to me.

This is going to sound ...

I've been really into socks lately I guess? Haha I always thought it was cute when people have sex wearing nothing but their socks, but lately it's my favorite thing and I keep looking at pictures of women in cute socks (like knee highs and thigh highs. I like stockings too, but I like the almost, I ...

They started scheduling me at weird hours at work which makes it impossible for me to catch the bus, which means some days I commute 12 miles round trip by foot. It really does kind of suck but I don't sweat it too bad because my checks are so much better, and I don't know how to put this delicately ...

Picnic at Hanging Rock

i don't remember whether it was this post or a different one, but i heard about this film from twoism. i keep meaning to watch it, looks like it could be right up my alley.

Mike Sandison listed it as one of his favorites so it gets mentioned a lot here. I remember he ...

I just discovered that I owe my public library $72 in fines. I made a page in my notebook to list the books I have out so I don't get in this situation again - this is the several-eth month in a row that I've ended up with significant fines, and I can't afford to have any more. Plus, as much as I ...

I think I already mentioned this, but I'm actually that excited about this: I got an old school spirograph and all I wanna do is spirograph all day. Right now I'm using it to decorate origami paper for an origami bouquet I'm making.

I really have no idea what I'd be doing with my time if I wasn't ...

R35TT does have some real oddballs on it. I've always wanted to do a bunch of stop motion animations to a bunch of those songs. Old tunes vol 2 will probably always be my favorite though.
