If they do a tour, it would be pretty fantastic if Bibio was the opening act.

"Bocuma" would be swell.

I personally would love to see "Chromakey Dreamcoat." I'd imagine that "Dayvan Cowboy," while not my absolute favorite, would be larger-than-life in a live setting.

Marcus, the quieter but by no means less passionate of the two, finishes Mike's thought and addresses more specifically what it is about Boards of Canada's sound that makes the prospect of a live show do tricky. "You've got to know the limitations of the music that you make. I always think of our ...

Many people would give up and head straight to digital to clean it up, thinking it sounds crap. They are an inspiration to many of us, the less you have, the better you can become, make the most of it, its not the tools but whats in your head and how you apply that with all you've got.

I find ...

I've become seriously fascinated by Jacquard Causeway.

As is often the case with BoC songs, the title gives us the seeds, some suggestions of a vague significance. I love that in this case it's a double suggestion, of Albert Jacquard's take on human 'progress' and also the simple significance of ...

I realize this is probably none of my business, so there's likely no way you'd know either, but... are they Mormon? I thought I read in an interview somewhere that they were Mormon.

It always does weird things for me when someone whose music I really like turns out to be of a religion that ...

That fact is glaring in the current thread about overrated songs. It's kind of neat to see how different folks respond to the same tune.

TCH seems to get a lot of criticism that I don't really get except to recognize it as a departure. I love TCH. Hell, I love them all and don't skip anything. I ...

Did they really tour those US cities?

Nope (I don't believe they ever played out of the UK, actually). It was just a piece they made for themselves.

I'm drawn to the band's nostalgic feel which is then juxtaposed with electronic elements and sampling. I felt that aspect reflects where my own ...

Boards of Canada Poster

About three years ago, I was trying to find some stuff for a new apartment that I was moving into and thought a BoC poster would be pretty nice. So after a quick search, I came across what appeared to be some sort of tour poster. Obviously not real, but the artwork was really great (even if the ...

This documentary is pretty nice. I think it was from this European television show that also did similar pieces on Sparklehorse and other great bands.

I met Alan and Mimi earlier this year and they're wonderful people.

‘and “The Campfire Headphase” is pretty much an imaginary road trip in a rusty pick-up heading west through the brain. So we’re re-setting the clock now to a point where it’s all about structured tracks with simple, instantly gratifying melodies again.’
