It looks to me this is a rather unexplored topic so far, but since I am a big fan of shoegaze (I mean real early 90s shoegaze, not today's crap), I noticed some similarities with BoC. Do you agree?

Heard it yesterday (it was on Glorybeats since last week). "Renata" is a wonderful track, almost all other tracks are halfway between genius and randomness, I'm afraid more towards the latter. I think he has listened to a lot of free jazz and prog stuff and just wanted to throw all this inspiration ...

Hey, I wouldn't consider Spandau Ballet a guilty pleasure! That's pure gold pop music (well at least some of their songs - but most of them I'd say).

Most of Justin Timberlake tunes sound super cool to me

Also Com Truise I believe uses sample for his music - which I do not like however.

If any of you is into shortwave radio transmissions, there is lots of chaotic sounds among radio signals which sometimes sound at the same time, glitchy and melodic . Both noises and interferences, or regular flangered signals (like NATO buzzers) - which are my favourite ones.

Couldn't agree more with the first post. I consider myself "open" and willing to appreciate several different sounds and genres, and in fact I do, but Autechre sound utterly boring to me. Also I can not really spot any possible similarity with BoC - they sound like polar opposites to me!
