This track seems to be one of the more popular ones on the album, but for some reason I just can't get into it. Like, it works for me if I'm listening to the whole album all the way through, but I just lose interest really quickly when I listen to it on my own.

Am I the only person who finds this ...

I was listening to this track in the car this morning and noticed something that I wanted to get Twoism's opinion on.

Is it just me, or is that "tape hiss" percussion element actually a recording of a hissing fire run through a shifting EQ curve?

Personally, an official Tomorrow's Harvest movie would be my preferred thing. Though I already sort of have one that plays in my head whenever I hear the album...something about this album evokes very specific images to me in my head, and I'd hate to have that ruined by an official version.

Well, MBV is my favorite guitar based band and BoC is my favorite electronic band. Evidently I'm not alone, because I keep seeing Kevin Shields and Belinda Butcher in people's avatars. Either that or people just want Belinda there for aesthetic reasons.

The color of the fire would make for an interesting choice. And come to think of it, Kid For Today.

Jaquard Causeway is so jacked it's hard to say what it really is, but the loud, literal drum beat is like a 3/4. But the rest of the instrumentation is running at 4/4 underneath it. You could argue that's a polyrhyhtm thing or they're just being clever ;)
