A very strange experience indeed with this album. I really didn't like it the first time around (apart from Cold Earth) and now I'm on about my 15th listen and when it ends I keep going back to the start and playing it again. Feels like its doing something to me. Its very compelling. Almost like a ...

I'm on my 6th or 7th listen through now. I love it. The more I listen to it, the more of a little bit of everything else I've heard them do I'm hearing in it. I hear Geogaddi type beats, Maxima type horns, MHTRTC vocal chants and the kind of... relatively simpler song structure of TCH. Love it ...

I'm 35 now and they have given me a feeling of wonder that I haven't had since I was 20 and hearing MHTRTC for the first time, where it was very nice on the first listen and has only improved on the subsequent listens. I hope the feeling doesn't fade. It all makes me wonder if your appreciation ...

Beware the Friendly Stranger still creeps me out a bit. Makes me think of 70s public information films where kids fly kites and throw frisbees near electricity substations and pylons.

"...the sound of 'The Road' if it'd had a score to rival that of Drive"

Is this true? I'm still holding out for Monday

Taken from another generally positive review:

I got hold of 'threads' after reading that review, gonna watch it in a minute.

Threads scared the crap out of me. When you see how whats left of us survives. Jeez I hope BoC dont think its gonna go that way!

Another super disturbing yet compelling doc from around that time is BBC QED's Guide to ...

I tuned in yesterday at work on mute for the first 3 minutes to watch for any video, but it was all black, and my boss walked in, so I shut the whole thing down and went for a walk. I couldn't take it. Waiting 8 freakin' years, checking this site like a fanboy pretty much daily, and then ...

lol I have nostalgia for old Canada releases.

Me too. I'm still waiting for a tune like Happy Cycling to grace us on one of these albums. Just after 5 minutes when the whole thing opens up and the melodies kick in. Still my favorite BoC track.

Is anyone else here super intrigued about Palace Posy? There's been a lotta talk about it!

Yeah it sounds like that one is my kind of Boards track. Upbeat chord progressions taking me back to being a kid. If it is a Roygbiv 2.0 I won't be disappointed.

Reading all this stuff about it and not ...

I was hovering over my computer the whole time but I couldn't do it. I want to go to the park and listen while I watch the sun rise (or go down, depending on when Bleep decide to give us our digital copies :))

The reports on the album are generally very good, but I'm not going to read too much into ...

2. If you have chest hair get rid of it, or you're gonna lose it by way of a slow painful process of baby grippage :P

Seems to be hinting at some type of Dystopian Future soundtrack. Maybe with its outlook inspired by films like Soylent Green, Silent Running. The visuals seem to have some type of global warming/climate change message.
