Today my wife named a track as "Sixty Corn Hieroglyph". Any similar occurrences?

Went out and bought it. The packaging's got layered die-cut artwork and green foil lettering. The credits are printed in clear gloss on top of a matte picture so you can only read them if you're holding them at the right angle. Very nice.

I found out this existed just last week. Whole album is officially up on youtube for streaming. I listened to about 30 minutes so far... Sounds wonderful, right off the bat.

I do love quite a bit from Beck. Even the songs on the Song Reader are top quality. Shame most of the youtube/soundcloud covers of those tunes are so boring and lame. Here's my favorite Pre-Mellow Gold track:

Reminds me of a Nobukazu Takemura or Ryuichi Sakamoto track. Not what I would expect from Autechre; they are usually not so contemplative. Should remixes even count tho? Because then you have to also judge the original piece and what they did with it. 8/10 for the pure music, 5/10 for what they did ...

I agree with "Good Vibrations" being a near-perfect pop song. It's complex and easy to listen to all at once.

I totally know what you're referencing. It's a specific stylistic reoccurrence. Not necessarily the chords themselves because I think that the chord progressions are always a little different-- even if you transpose 'em to the same key. It's something about how the chords are related or the phrasing ...
