Vocoded guitar?

In interviews, the band have mentioned playing guitars on their albums and I've not heard much evidence of this on MHTRTC or Geogaddi.

However, I'm pretty sure that a lot of their trademark, wobbly synth sounds (MHTRTC period) come from strumming or picking an electric guitar through a vocoder.

Raiders of the Lost Ark -> 1969 ??

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between the beginning of 1969 and the music that plays in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indiana Jones is in the map room trying to locate the Ark of the Covenant?

Have a listen...

Hope this isn't old news (I did a search) but I was reading up about Chernobyl the other day (as you do) and I spotted this - http://www.chornobyl.in.ua/en/chernobyl-2.htm . A huge metallic structure hidden in the woods nearby.

I also discovered some unexpected information. Nature in the Zone of ...

Cheers for the nice feedback! I'm really pleased with it. It's coloured slightly differently to the actual album because when she tried them originally it looked a little too 'dayglo'.

The cool thing is now though, the contrast between the yellow / red looks almost like its glowing - giving it a ...

Nice pics too philtr. See anymore crazy symbols on walls?

We checked it out again in the daylight on the way back.

Still in the Pentland Hills area, off the main road there were 2 signs written in 70s style font on a bright green board.

One just said "Pretty petals?" and one further along ...

We did the Pentlands thing...

Three of us came up from London, not really expecting anything but hey, better than sitting on our arses pretending to be bothered about the football! We arrived in Edinburgh, got a few maps of the Pentlands and proceeded to the top of Allemuir Hill. After checking out the great scenery we met up ...

Also, in the Scooby Doo style, it might make sense to split up and "report back".

We've got 5-6 possible suggestions right? (REDMOON's code, Martyr's Monument's post from a while back, EH39?, and a couple of others) So different groups can check them out, see if it looks like anything's going on a ...

There's going to be 3 or 4 of us going up, arriving in Edinburgh middayish on Sat.

I was thinking though, we need to set up a definitive site which we can use on the night to post feedback (Wilshire Poachers's wiki maybe) It will be a nightmare browsing loads of different threads with a patchy ...

I've been lurking on Twosim and WATMM for a while, but been reading with much interest!

There should be 3 of us coming up from London on Friday. Not sure how at the moment! We'll be taking maps, GPS and poss a laptop! If anything, it's going to be an adventure.

I was wondering if we could do ...
