I think BOC will evolve their sound further. I can't see them going over old ground soundwise, but rather laying down tracks with real guitars/ distortion, drums incorporating vintage synths & going down the concept album/soundtrack route maybe to highlight the importance nature & global warming ...

BOC actually having something on a Touched comp after the theories of them anonymously being on the covert comp is kinda nice even if it's something we've already heard. Plus finally having access to this remix on Bandcamp is nice!

There is some commotion in a Cult48 thread over on WATMM as there are insinuations that Catalog 1 has been released without the full permission of the artist (and verified that it's definitely not BoC). Furthur Electronix is releasing the vinyl version of Catalog 1, so based on what the person who ...

There are obvious BOC references deliberately part of a clever marketing campaign yes, but I gotta say I've really enjoyed the album regardless.

I think I'm in the complete minority here, to me this is just about ok. To me it sounds formulated a bit banal, generic and lacking creativity. I could easily imagine it soundtracking Broadchurch! For me on this they are straddling a fine line of mediocrity.

I hope they don't drift down this ...

I don't think it's outside of BOCs scope, I just don't associate their sound being suited for any possible Blade Runner sequel soundtrack.

I think any Blade Runner soundtrack would be more suited for somebody like FSOL if you were to pick an act from the last 20 years.

I don't think anybody other than Eno or Giorgio Moroder have the credentials to come up with something that would come close to what Vangelis wrote.
