A guy with the right gear and knowledge could remake Duffy pretty well. It's drumless, which is what separates almost every BOC fake from real BOC. The percussion is never right on a BOC fake.
That being said, this is an amazing reimagination of the short 30-second clip and I would not be surprised ...

the weird thing to me is that none of the other unknown tracks bar the first one sound like boc could've made them to me. i suppose U2 could be play by numbers-era shoegaze, and U3 could be a mashup of obscure 70s tracks.

U4 doesn't sound very boc-ish to me, "soon the queen will come our way ...

a good portion of the synths used on R35TT almost certainly come from the juno 106. try it, you'll see what i mean. i bet there's a decent amount of DX7 too.

Anyway... I hope this specific track gets ID'd (or released) as it's probably my favourite part of the mix. I don't even care if it's BoC or not at this point, I just want it!

How do you come up with such beautiful melodies and chord progressions etc?

I haven't been able to create a worthwhile, original song in aaaggeesss.. much of that is due to a lack of good melodies and chord progressions. Creative block is a bitch.

I was screwing around on a minimoog vst (the old arturia one, from 2012 i think) earlier and stumbled onto this preset:

Sounds similar if not exactly the preset BOC snuck in there just before the Severed Heads' song, "We Have Come To Bless This House".
