I was only a child when Slowdive were popular. However the new material isn't going to be as good as their debut LP. It seldom ever is for guitar bands. I look back on bands from the late 80s/90s and am surprised to learn many are still recording, touring and have even released dozens of albums ...

Awful music and an attention seeker whose attacks on the Vatican were cringe inducing.

None of them have made me question reality as such.

I'm British and unlike most in my country I don't have an opinion on politics in the US. It's none of my business or anyone else's in the UK unless they have dual citizenship.

As someone who looks back on Britpop with fondness, I have to say I'm not a fan of Damon Albarn's side projects. There was more to what was dubbed Britpop than Oasis or Blur.

This is one of those BoC you just shouldn't mess with.

Boards of Canada eschew the tedious recreational drugs aspect of electronic music. There's nothing worse than hearing some juvenile claiming they listened to this or that electronic album while on acid (always acid). It's this drug culture which put me off electronic music for so long.
