I have a suspicion that warp deliberately held some releases back from their legacy artists ( of which I count boc as one) until they could release them all in a relatively close period. To kind of say "we're not putting this out until we can set up a 90s act legacy wave around it"

The remaster version has more aggressive EQ and has some boosting of transients and overall volume levelling.

I prefer the restore version but a lot of folk prefer the raised highs of the remaster version.

Fixed up fhe new direct transfer lossless tape rip, denoised, dehummed, removed some clicks and dropouts, azimuth, eq, and more.

This rip allows a better quality restoration than we've previously had.

I'd still bet Tape 05 is actually Father And Son. Same length... Also religious imagery in the video aligns with the title. Even structurally the song is Father (1. half) and Son (2. half).
The first half is dark, foreboding = Father, the vengeful God of the Old Testament ...

I agree about it being mostly one advert. Possibly one sentence from elsewhere (still can't help but hear "The Eye of the Hawk".

I think k the transcription from myself and Qualia is closer than this one though. That other Voice clip is too aggressively isolated as well. It's missing a lot of the ...

They have brought back some of that mysterious, unknowableness of things that often existed before everything was on Google with this tape.

Yeah that definitely seems most likely. I think all or 90% of the audio is from this. The main thing sticking out to me is "The eye of the hawk" phrase, which I'm not sure I'm hearing right but I can't hear anything else there.

Well that sounds like "Peace, Rock, Devotion" at the end their to me on outhudds upload.

Feeling cautiously optimistic about this myself.

Could you go into more detail on how you attempted to clean up the noise reduction on the high end?
The noise reduction itself was cleaned up by Niski/OliveOil.

All I've done with that part is a bit of transient shaping and expanding to help restore smeared transients. Works at different speed ...

Think I'll rework the remaster version to have slightly lower treble at some point. Keeping the Restore version as is.
