Reviving this thread because I FINALLY did a deep listen to a Christ. release, it was Pylonesque , and WOW I was not prepared for it to so clearly resonate as music made by a Turquoise Hexagon Sun member and ex-Boards of Canada member. I really enjoyed it and am surprised I never listened to Christ ...

Hearing how this thing can dynamically stretch samples is making my brain bristle with possibilities. It sounds like they used this for more than just vocals in their work. I can't point to any specific examples, but the way this thing can modulate time and harmonics is really powerful!

Whatever new Boards of Canada happens is going to be the opposite of Inferno? EG, rather than loud and relatively sudden, it'll be gradual esoteric drips of sound from 33-year-old memory cards? Lol!

Gotta say that I enjoyed just listening to these tunes played with the other stuff stripped back. Kind of felt like "the music box christmas" version of these songs, or like "instrumentals?" I can't think of the right word, but it's nice and lovely to hear! BOC's melodies deserve the love.
