Re: Inferno Survey Results
ok so just to be clear. there is NOT an available "Dolby Atmos Mix," this is just a term we're using to describe their wide and lush production, right? i really hope i'm wrong. i would love to hear this album in Atmos

Re: An album in two parts? “Into the….”
I think it definitely is split. Introit is a quick "ascension" motif, and the tracks until Acts Of Magic all seem to be celestial, universal, heavenly, or religious. Acts of Magic feels like a train ride into Hell, like some kind of descent. And the tracks that follow it seem to share that sort of ...

Re: 05. Father And Son
fair enough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nirz5Qb0Ejg
it didn't help me figure anything out, but there's definitely some chopped up/backwards woman's voice in there. i reversed it, but that didn't help either
someone else mentioned hearing "the Alpha and the Omega" in there towards the end. i ...

Re: 05. Father And Son
where should I upload some audio? I stripped the "vocals" out of this track using Serato Sample, hoping it could clarify some of the unintelligible speech

Re: 17. You Retreat In Time And Space
Anyone picked up on what sounds to me as horn sounds at 3:42 and 3:45? Very ancient and tribal, I love it.
i hadnt thought about it as tribal, but it definitely feels like a natural, unavoidable earthly force. like a tectonic plate screaming in excrutiating pain or tornado thunder in the distance ...

Re: Inferno - Written & Produced by Mike Sandison
a lot of the songs he's credited on are the more "live" sounding tracks, so maybe he mostly functioned as a performer/studio musician?
I was thinking something similar as well. Maybe throughout the years life situations have changed enough to where there's less time to contribute as much as ...

Re: Inferno - Written & Produced by Mike Sandison
obviously i have no insight on their relationship, but i would assume this wasn't a spite thing, and Marcus retracted some of his credit because he felt he wasn't as involved as he used to be, or he didn't bring much to the table with these tracks. he may have thought Mike did a lot of the heavy ...

Stills from the looping videos on Spotify in order from ‘Introit’ to ‘I Saw Through Platonia’ I normally don’t pay attention to these if/when I listen to Spotify.
Didn’t see these posted anywhere else on the forum ...

I think this video is really important. i never would've noticed how well Introit and Acts Of Magic segue into each other, even though they're complete opposites in terms of theme and emotion. Really feels like this is the second "intro" track, inviting ...

Is it me or are the stages of birth in reverse?
I think so? Didn't put two and two together, but I'll have to pay more attention.

Re: 10. The Word Becomes Flesh
this is obviously just a theory, but there are a lot of "spectral" (vocoder style) synth stabs throughout the entire album, many of which seen to be triggered by an actual drum or some kind of percussion. This track and Father And Son got me thinking about the vocal chops, and how the timing seems ...

I think track #6 Somewhere Right Now In The Future is available on slsk, user tamarack. I didn't trust it at first but the track duration is on point and the stereo width is way higher than typical fakes

Re: 01. / 02. Introit / Prophecy At 1420 MHz
The lag on word consciousness makes me think the voice is an AI. Sounds like AI psychosis.
The visuals, themes, and processed vocals all remind me of Han Tyumi, which is sick because it's the thing I liked the most out of the entire King Gizzard catalog. Similar concept, different execution ...
