I suppose get the 'pretentious' comments to a certain extent but having listened to interviews with Walker he seems like an incredibly genuine guy. To me it doesn't feel as if he's forcing himself to make this kind of music "just to be different/edgy", it seems ...

New album is pretty incredible. Only Gira could release something that wasn't underwhelming after The Seer.

This song pumps me up. It has a really bittersweet triumphant feeling. Definitely getting a similar vibe. Especially from his disaster trilogy and works like High-Rise, Concrete Island and Hello America. Some of the imagery from The Atrocity Exhibition (the billboards, the decrepit beaches, forgotten motorways) is incredibly similar aesthetically.

So good.

I really like this. Emphasis on 'really'. It has such a druggy tripped-out feel to it. I didn't really dig the dialogue samples but that's just me and I know they're probably meant more as vignettes than anything. Really enjoyed it though.

Ben Frost's 'Music for Solaris' (hopefully the score to 'Far' will be released also) and I'm hoping for a release of Steve Reich's 'WTC 9/11' later this year.
