Creepiest Songs Ever

Post by Numerator »

Seeing as we're approaching halloween I was just wondering what songs (not just BoC, in general) you guys find scary/disturbing/creepy/spooky/terrifying.

In terms of BoC, You Could Feel The Sky, Corsair and Oirectine are three that I often skip past if I'm listening to BoC at night.....that's how much of a pussy I am

For me, a lot of the tracks on SAWII by Aphex Twin are creepy as fuck as well. Tree, Hankie and White Blurs 1 and 2 are truly horrible in the dark......and awesome.

A lot of Throbbing Gristle is very creepy too, Hamburger Lady and Still Walking in particular.

How about you?

Anything on this album.

Naked City - Torture Garden. It sounds something like you'd expect.

'Dead Bodies' By Air is suprisingly creepy (once the voices come in)

As is 'October is eternal' by Of Montreal. Both are suprisingly creepy, for usually upbeat bands

When it comes to audio only, the Conet project tracks are definatly among the scariest things I've ever heard, especially if you realize that no one really knows who recorded and is broadcasting those things.

Definitely. I was going to say the same thing. I listened to that while coming down one morning and got so freaked I had to phone my sister just to try and remain sane.

Anything by The Caretaker or Elegi. Twoism threads here and here for more info.

Dark? Light bends towards these babies...

Alternatively, try Svarte Greiner or Kreng.

Be afraid.

'Mer Girl', the closing track on Madonna's 'Ray Of Light' album is exceptionally unsettling to me. I've always had trouble listening to it all the way through because of this.
Easily her best album to these ears.

All these songs are child's play compared to Black Hole Symphony by the Brian Jonestown Massacre
