I'm not so sure about this at all. I think most of these statements are vague and over-generalized. There has always been the dualism between art and meaningless crap. And believe me there are millions of people who still "appreciate art" and millions of counterexamples of this lack of art/beauty. It's not getting worse exactly, there's just a paradigm shift. Every generation has its 'edm' and its 'art' these definitions change with the changing culture.
I'm mostly talking about popularity. Of course art still exists, but people are not interested in it and maybe just scrape the surface once in a while.
Our experiences may vary...I'm probably much younger than you and I may be wrong, because I mostly talk with my peers.

How many of the TH tracks have numbers in them somewhere. Like 11 on Palace Posy being the obvious one. I've not looked into any tracks in depth but some of you on here have.

How can we best collate all of this so it's clear for people to see & use. If numbers keep popping up in various tracks, there's a reason for it.
I must say, its an album that has grown on me, but, I like it now more than ever. One of their best in my opinion., right up there with MHTRTC and TCH.
I agree that TH has just gotten better and better. I'll think of one little tune and get the urge to listen to the entire album.
I've also started noticing new subtleties, samples, and sounds in general that make my admiration for this album grow to new heights. I've been on a big Gemini kick this week, in particular.
Shouldn't be surprised, this has happened with all of their albums. I remember when I first heard BoC and passed on them, thinking they weren't my thing. But I just kept coming back.
Nothing is Real feels like a station full souls waiting to be reprogrammed with new DNR and send for their new destination, and I feel connection to Turquoise Hexagon Sun in the same altered state feeling, next dimensional level.

i just heard one of the the most powerful alan watts lecture ive ever heard in my life. its incredible that you brought him up
alan watts help completely transform and change my life a few years ago. his wisdom was so beautiful and its helped me to become a better, happier person. ive always felt like the vibe in boc's music is the same kind of thing going on in alan watts teachings.

Well I think this album is still great, and easily up there with the best records of 2013. It's definitely got some nice touches which I do not think are found on other BoC records. The album is worth itself purely for Jacquard Causeway, Boards are the only band that could write something like that.

Listening to the Cosecha Transmisiones really gives me chills. Almost a year has passed, and I already feel nostalgic. It was awesome, I think I'll forever remember it!
