'Limerence' by eyesix - first full-length release

Sublime from start to finish my friend, though I'd have to say "All the Clouds," "Sunsets on Skyscrapers," and "Geodesic" are my current favorites, along with the title track. Your compositions are endlessly fascinating--I find something new every time I listen... loads of fun! I'm sinking deeper and deeper into the Sparkwood Records rabbit-hole, and loving every listen. I'm definitely going to have to pick up a proper CD of "Limerence," and am eagerly awaiting a new Above, Convenience Store! release.

I'm surprised I never gave word on this album, I thought I did. Anyway, I was real impressed by this album quite a bit. Your mixes have improved significantly since the ep. This is especially true in Idaho Transfer and Geodesic. The percussive textures compliment the pads very well, and they don't sit too heavily in the mix. The drums in Geodesic actually remind me a lot of the drums in Peacock Tail just because of the dynamics and the contrast of the sounds between the drums and the chords. I know Peacock Tail had guitars, but I'm sure you see what I'm getting at. My only complaint with this album is that I feel like these tracks could all be beefed up on the low end as they do feel sorta empty. But that's not necessarily a bad thing either. The mixes are good despite them feeling empty. But this is just my opinion. It's still a really nice album, and I think the next thing you put out is going to be even better. You're building your own unique sound, so I'd like to see where you take that in future releases.

Cheers Alex, appreciate the kind words and advice. You know me well enough, and you know I've a lot to learn. Having been making tunes for about a year and a half. And you have been a big help of course, as have many of you guys here on Twoism. So, appreciate it very much guys. Glad ye like the album, I still have a long way to go, but having fun getting there

what a great album from start to finish.

it took a few listens for me to really begin to appreciate it. but now that it has sunk in, i am really impressed.

at first the main tracks that stuck out were "sunsets on skyscrapers" and "limerence". but then all the tracks began to really take shape, and each time i listen to the album i enjoy it more.

i just wanted to thank you for putting the time and effort into your music.
