As I said, respect should go both ways. MDG said BoC would release the previously unheard material, and they didn't. We can only speculate as to why, but one of the main theories is that BoC preferred to behave like children and quit the idea altogether, therefore punishing all of us for the doings of some guy and refusing to basically take our money

Seriously, why do you think it's okay to let them treat you that way? First it was "yeah they'll do it", now it's 10 years later and we still have no idea as to what has happened! We had to wait over a year if I'm correct for the Hi Scores repress and even then they released it with a glitch in one of the songs, it's too tiring for them to even perform TH live in America after all those years without a live performance (you guys seriously think they put any effort into the campaign?) so they had some guy press the play button. I guess the desert is too hot for them, but let the fans sit it out.

You guys, this is not entitlement, this is common sense. Please have some dignity and recognize that BoC have not been treating their fans very good. When was the last time they got in touch with the fans? Probably back when Warp did that contest for the coolest music video, and even then they just sent signed copies of the Geogaddi CD.

Please acknowledge that it's not like they're not messiahs who have been doing it all for free. I think most of the people here have all of their albums, so we've paid for them. Music industry is a bit different than other businesses so you just can't treat people like: here's our product, give us your money, ok thank you. It's just more personal. And if the brothers spend all of their time in the studio, that's 100% fine, but just give us some sign that you're alive once in a while. It's not like they immediately have to go to every interview everywhere or write daily facebook posts, but do a live show, maybe post some photos of their super-secret cave, I dunno, there are so many things they can do

Agreed. Not wanting to release it is perfectly okay. Saying that you're working on it 10 years ago and hearing very little of it since kinda isn't.

Doesn't everyone on here actually agree with one another on more levels than not? Skimming Stone seems to me a good voice on this one where both Naj and Mex would have to agree with what has been said by Skimming so far. I think we all love the fact that they don't release everything and are reserved because it's exciting and intriguing. It makes them one of our favorite bands. Yet at the same time we would love them to simply say hi, give us a small update once in a while (dare I say every 4-5 years?), or release some early tracks... There surely can be a middle ground where both parties are satisfied?

Imo, it would be absolutely fantastic if the brothers communicated with us more, and releasing even a tiny bit of old stuff, never mind something the size of what AFX has done, would send my respect for them skyrocketing. If this did happen, then you can still choose not to participate in this part of the fandom, and you can picture BOC's discography any way you want. It'll be nice for the people who want it, and the people who don't can simply leave it out of their lives.
