track07 sussex
"o fuck,...shit man!"
This track is so bangin' . Love it when that huge kick and snare come in. The beat at the beginning is sweet too, it almost sounds like a jungle beat at first then slowly morphs into something more binary.

Oh yeah this is definitely an awesome track...so dark, I love that strange little melody that floats around during the beginning of the track...and then it seems the rest is left to some of the darkest textures BoC has created...some really ghostly sounds in this track.
Black then White are all I see in my infancy...Red and Yellow then came to me, reachin' out to me, lets me see...

i think its one of the best in the entire set. sounds like it could be a darker cousin to something off IABPOITC.

yeah, from the sound of it it's probably something that got cut out of geogaddi. i love listening to the live sets, it's just mindblowing to think of all the unreleased material that must exist if 10-25% of concert set lists are songs nobody has ever heard.
oh, I've lurked for quite a long time on these forums (way before i'd registered) and this is my first post, so... hi

this is true...with all this unreleased material and the love hate relationship that is the campfire headphase - i'm left wondering just which direction they will take next. it will be interesting i'm sure.
track 03 is beautiful...the one used in the telecom italia advert. i could listen to this melody for hours on end. x
or just 1969 (or to a lesser extent Julie and Candy) from those sets... they're slowed down just a hair and give it a very drawn-out, laid-back chillout feel that I think is a better contrast to the dark-pagan-whatever theme that geogaddi implies. it's a lot more hypnotic and subliminal, as though it's sucking you in to whatever mood it's putting across. if the entire album had been like this... so much better, imo.
and Aquarius with the cowbell intro, and that one is sped up a bit... I really like the live versions a lot better most of the time, and if the recording quality was a little better they'd be coming through my speakers more often.

good stuff. killer track.zeitgeist wrote:so, i remember a similar thread awhile ago about distracting noises in the atp/warp live sets. i couldn't find it using search, so apologize if i'm retreading here. there's a hilarious (although fucking-annoying) moment in ATP track 7 where in my copy it sounds like someone getting hit in the face and the noises afterwards... i hope that's not a sample in the background?.... anyway, i just heard it because i'm baked for the first in awhile. figured i'd transcribe it. maybe you can hear it too?

If I was ever to hear a studio version without this conversation in it, I would really miss it. Although it's probably just a security guard shining a flashlight at someone's eyes, it fits the song so well, and I really like it.zeitgeist wrote:the "o fuck, shit man!" here, is that a reference to this....? IEC, I completely agree about live songs sometimes sounding better. I always liked IABPOITC where it starts with just the drums and children laughing and suddenly the synths come out of nowhere and sweep you further into the song.
