Favorite Album art?
what's your favorite BoC album art?
I love The Trans Canada Highway's art, I just love the simplicity of it.

No, I won't. Please go away. I don't like you.
MHTRTC... it really struck me as odd and weird when i first saw it, slightly disturbing. Now it's commonplace for me to see it, but before I even knew what the music was, it gave me a weird feeling... none of the others has done that.
So it's my favorite
So it's my favorite

Has to be Geogaddi for me, especially with the attention to detail such as the inverted devil's head in the trees on the front cover

either it's one of those magic eye things where you have to squint at it to see it (which i've never been able to see)lawrenke wrote:especially with the attention to detail such as the inverted devil's head in the trees on the front cover
or this is just a case of getting sucked into the hype machine.
or it could just be the fact that an image of the 'devil' is subjective considering that it deals with aspects of religion, which depending on your point of view is either complete bullshit or absolute gospel.
but that's a can of worms best left unopened :p
anyways, my favourite is Music Has The Right To Children. it was the first Boards of Canada release i heard, and will just always remind me of when i found inspiration to start making my own music again

Agree, Twoism, for how it lifts a singularly striking and poignant moment from a reportedly rather uninspired b-grade sci-fi film. Of course, it is also suggestive of the close bond between Mike and Marcus (ironic that it's from the only release with a third name attached to the group). Finally, it was their first public release, so it's sort of their default visual impression.

I love all the album art, but Hooper Bay is incredibly eye-catching to me. The looks on the boys faces, and the way your eye leads up the line to the logo on the wall... I think it's very striking. Not having heard the album lends it a certain amount of mystery too. (Yes I heard the recently posted samples)
Anyway, what do a bunch of school boys have to do with Alaska?

I love so many. Therefor it was really hard to choose.
I love the old ones, with the original BoC handwriting (twoism. a few old tunes).
What an awesome handwriting, don't you guys think?
Geogaddi, MHTRTC are fantastic. MHTRTC for the emptyface marine toning front. Geogaddi for its a sort of dark front.
I'm with oscillik on this one. It's just a subjective matter. Why do we see 'the devil' in the front? Just because it fits, or comes near to our perspectives of how we think he looks. But, come on, nobody has actual prove of seeing him. It's just because of hollywood en media.
But in the end 'The Campfire Headphase' was the winner, 'cause of the beautiful artwork, with all those pics (of their childhood). I just love it. When I first saw it, it brought so many different vibes. Happy, sad happy, childhood nostalgic emotions..

Are you guys talking about the same thing here? Because, the only face I can see in the cover is the spooky one at the very top(and which is continued round the kaleidoscope image), and I saw it the first time I ever looked at the cover of 'Geogaddi', before I'd heard a note of the music. And the face is pretty obvious, so I'm starting to think is there another face in there I haven't noticed?oscillik wrote:either it's one of those magic eye things where you have to squint at it to see it (which i've never been able to see)lawrenke wrote:especially with the attention to detail such as the inverted devil's head in the trees on the front cover

Play By Numbers. I do a double-take every time I see that baby and those numbers in its eyeballs. Brrrr, spooky.
I'll see you when the sun sets east, don't forget me.
