The only thing holding me back is the fact that Warp and MDG haven't told us that it's not a legitimate move.

You'd think something with this much attention would be shot down immediately. Then again, they might be seeing how this plays out in terms of viral effects before they give it up (in which case, studying just from the statistics on the visit to my blog and doing a quick look social media, I can tell them it's viral, so call it off already).

Don't just give up hope like that. They're not debunking the legitimacy of the vinyl, just that they don't know anything about it, ie. the meaning behind the numbers and the cover artwork. It wouldn't suprise me if WARP have asked them to keep quiet about it and deny all knowledge.

If it's legit and they want it to 'go viral' (hate that phrase by the way) then WARP/MDG/etc aren't likely to come out on day 2 and announce it.

Still, I'll believe when I've more to go on. Like, for example, someone PROVING they have another of the 'missing' records.

some guy on Reddit said he bought a record with 5 unreleased BoC tracks
he's gonna post pictures of it later today or tomorrow

"I don't think it was bootleg, and unfortunately I left it at my work so it wouldn't melt in my car yesterday while I was out on a date. I'll get it either later today or tomorrow and will post pics.
what I can tell you is is it says it's previously unreleased material, and that there are 5 tracks according to the labels. 2 on side A and 3 on the other I believe. It was very non-descript. just a black sleeve with the die cut in the middle and then a white label (not your typical promo dubplate white label) with black type printed on it.
