edit: got to read Wire's review today in newsagents for free, didnt buy it.
they don't give 'ratings', well not this album from what i could see but its quite a long review, full page almost. a good one, good writing etc hopefully we can see a scan or something soon

I can translate this Fredd-E, just contacted my local newsagent and isn't available there until the 5th of July, but I will shop around.

This intrigues me a lot, an interview collective with an interview by Michel Gondry? Quite an odd concept, can't wait to see what it means....!

I will try to share and translate what I can tonight if I find the magazine today.

But those three concept interviews sound interesting, one directly from the band, one from a collective interview with some interesting artists and Michel gondry giving is view on the new album.

Nope, I gave the Phantom Menace a 4/10. I just meant in terms of reaction.

When you get a 7/10 album from a 9-10/10 band, it's kind of disappointing.

I found this in the dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad. Translated by me (my first translation).

Boards of Canada: Tomorrow's Harvest

People waited eagerly for the new music by Boards of Canada. The brothers Micheal and Marcus Sandison from Scotland hadn't released a cd in eight years, after they debuted in 1998 with Music Has The Right To Children and two cd's after that. Every new cd reinforced their position as head of the instrumental electronica. Unexpectedly intense - for this subdued kind of music - fans and followers praise and worship the duo.
It would seem the brothers found a niche; that of introvert soundscapes, inspired by film-music from the 70's. On their new cd Tomorrows Harvest the music is even more introvert. De tone is clear, the music slowly building up, with consistent added layers: rustling percussion over swelling noise and tinkling arpeggios. The tracks have a unchanging tempo, with an echo of James Blake like deep bass(Transmissiones Ferox), or, like in Telepath, the human voice, metallicly distorted.
Tomorrow's harvest can be compared to the Brian Eno's lp's in his ambient period: beautiful and basking, but not very exciting.
