check this out...i put the single version of Reach for the Dead and the album version into Audition.
note...the left channel of the single is inverted compared to the album version.

Image

trying it out. tech issue...one version has a bit of a leader...and i need a way to snap to transients to make sure they line up exactly or the cancelation wont werk.

adding: there are record pops in the track. it looks like they almost act as alignment markers.

Well isn't that something ;)

Im not at my laptop , so i can't try this out with other tracks till morning .

So in moments you will either have found nothing .
Or you may have found a big something . Great work regardless !

the single version i have is mp3 320 and the album version is 24bit.

BUT...nothing there. the cancelation werked fairly well...but nothing turned up. wonder if the 320 and 24 bit wavs are diff. ill check a couple others....but not expecting anything.

cool though the two release version of reach for the dead were different.

can someone who does this correctly upload their "twins" in full onto youtube, please? :P

Im not uploading the full tracks that would be jerk thing to do so close after the record launch
i already know about the soundcloud, it's not the full tracks. and what difference does it make if they were uploaded 3 days after the launch rather than 3 months? it's already out in the wild... am i a jerk for thinking this? really?

your not a jerk , i'd be one for posting the album up regardless of the order .

A) i don't want the account to be taken offline because i posted a full album worth of tracks and B) maybe im old fashioned but i think people should buy the album to hear it . That last point i'm not saying you have to agree with in this day and age and i might be bias because i work in music and film distribution . But Point A) im sure you can agree is fair .

maybe if there is an inverted channel in the Reach for the Dead single vs album....that this could be an indication or a clue that there are diff inverted tracks/channels on the CD vs Vinyl vs MP3. just gotta find the right ones to mix.

OR [additional thought added in edit] Reach for the Dead has the inverted track in the single vs the album....a clue also revealed in the video that perhaps the three suns in the box = the three available types of media. CD/Vinyl/MP3. all enclosed in the box making them one. combine all three to reveal something.

fun to think so....but am starting to think it may be a little too fantastic.

Maybe it's just on the 24 bit WAV by accident and they haven't noticed it yet. Seems like the most likely thing if all the other versions of RFTD aren't inverted, and all the other song on the 24 bit version are the same as other formats.

How does the inversion differ in terms of the sound? Surely it must sound different right?

I'm not at my PC at the mo, so can't check it out myself.

Boost the volume of Transmissones Ferox towards the outro and you will hear the lead in pad for Sundown in the background .

I'm loving these discoveries! Nice work :) You found any more yet?

Yeah this crew of BoC fans rules. I've never uncovered anything in their tracks before and it's so fun to stumble upon an easter egg and then see all the cool other things that everyone's discovering in there! Like a bunch of them being sequences, and all this numerical stuff.

i dunno if that would be an accident....to invert the left channel only?
i checked a couple other 24bit recs. they do not have flipped channels. gonna do a little looking at the vinyl rec and the cd rec.
its just for fun :) dont hate for wanting to have a little fun

Yes more is coming . I just have not had the time today with work to do more , I have the next few days off and i'll spend that time uploading . I'm also not going to add stuff unless i'm sure it likely was intended. Everything thus far seems to point to that it was a deliberate intent to make the album a continuous palindrome based on interview statements , wave forms matching , chord structure and exact instrument reprises being found . Some edits might be off because they are at best informed guesses at where they should begin .

I checked the reserva.zip RFTD, flac single from Bleep and the flac from my own cd rip, and none of them had this inverted channel. Where is your file from, re-phaelam-ed?

i think you people are onto something.

those pairings sound better than the actual album track sequence! what the hell have Boards done?
it's like a lego set that can be taken apart and built into something else.

holy shit....

so if i am taking this the right way.....is there some hidden scheme by which the entire album secretly flows together in a way that's even better than the intended tracklist?

if so....wow
