I love how the percussion starts to decay around 3:12, piece by piece until it's finally just a single snare & bass drum at the end. Followed by that crackly voice loop coupled with the organ. After probably 20 listens it's finally clicked fully into place. Great stuff.

I'm already willing to put this as the 2nd best BoC remix OAT; behind Poppy Seed. Incidentally Poppy Seed was fairly polarizing when it came out. Poppy Seed is probably in my top 5 most play BoC tracks.

wow poppy seed was polarizing?! good thing my younger self wasn't on forums/message boards back in those days - I wouldn't have been able to handle that. what kind of monster would have a problem with poppy seed? definitely my #1 (and #2, for the reprise version) boc remix (and probably in my top 5 boc tracks of all time.) the mean beat manifesto mix would be #3. and I would probably put the "sisters" remix closer to the bottom, even though its sublime - it's just so damn short. that's really my only beef with it.

Finally got around to listen to it. This is quite minimalistic for BoC, I hope that's the new direction they're going.

Yup. I've seen people attributing all the elements of the track to BoC, but as a remix it really doesn't stray so far from ON's 2012 original. In the context of previous BoC mixes this one received a very light touch.

I'm probably at 50 or so listens now! Gets better each time . Also, I think the singing may be in English... I'll have another listen.

I must be around the 50+ mark too, at this point. My buddy was late in coming to hang out, so I had it on repeat for a while waiting for him. Not to mention it was my cooking dinner music while I was adding toppings to my pizza.

I love that after admitting to 50 listens you immediately find another reason to go listen again. I definitely get that, my fellow Canuck! It's good to see you and Harpoon Dodger making a few posts here again!
