Gyroscope hands down. Also, the kick drum pattern in Skyliner is so fucking good.

Or 5.9.78, but the drums in 5.9.78 aren't the best quality so it's hard to judge.
YES! I am in awe of all BOCs drums. I've always been proud of Scottish white boys contributing to the advancement of of "hip hop drum beats". I could babble on forever about sum boc drums! I must try hard not to post a couple novels here, lol.

As for white water, bow down to that splashing snare OMG! That fan video of breaching/splashing whales in the city fits PERFECT! Its like the snare is submerged 1 inch under water in a foot deep kiddie wade pool. The splashes echo set the stage for alot of dubstep percussion I always felt.

I couldn't be less proud of the "play-stop" button (tape deck/recorder?) clicks in RFTD!! So good, I hope they're from their actual childhood recorders used for past material. I've always wanted to bring a tape recorder to the ghettoblaster isle in walmart, and record every models play/stop/eject/ click sounds just for 1 highhat track, so to create more, but barely discernible patterns in the HH. I see this in alot of dubstep too. But congrats to boc for it, dreams come true!

I love the simplicity of Dawn Chorus.

An Eagle In Your Mind or Pete Standing Alone. Kid For Today maybe too because of how it goes with the slide projector sound.

The unknown track from warp's 10th anniversary! ( don't remember track 7 or 8? ) Machinedrum edit helps the quality a tad bit. These drums are simply vicious!

Can't forget Aquarius as well.

Whoa i changed my mind.

The broken drum remix!

I can't find the words to describe this masterpiece of a beat.

That Dead Dogs Two remix is so good that everytime i listen to the original it's like there's something missing.

Also love the drum sounds on music is math.

Where do you start? I love the drums that creep you out a bit like Hi Scores, Sixtyten, Sunshine Recorder, Jaquard Causeway. Also love the funkiness of Nothing Is Real

TO THE WIND

that track grooves.

is anyone here familiar with Grimes? the vocal part on To The Wind sounds exactly like her. Except produced a decade before.

I actually dig Grimes for some reason though. I think she's got some real intentions.

I think the whole Hi Scores EP is a well rounded exemplar of their rhythms. That EP has always been the quintessential BoC for me. It's got a little of everything.
