I love how us regulars, potentially the more committed BoC fans stay outta the storm whilst the most activity is going on. Im sure once June passes we'll be able to pick apart the album for ourselves. In the meantime its good be hibernating with my comrades :lol:

Reading back through this thread is fascinating!
I wonder if I could have some input from members around that time to compare the twoism of 2012 to the 2021 version in terms of posting activity?

This was quite an interesting read. It was hard to think that all these posts were made a decade ago when I feel like a lot of the same sentiments could still apply today, even one I made on my old account still resonates with me, in that I often expect more from forums in terms of activity than is reasonably sound. Of course I still care about this site and BoC otherwise I wouldn't still be here in 2021. I think a lot of false information, garbage speculation, and overall lack of hope in a new BoC release was floating around at the time, or maybe that was just my teenage angst blowing everything out of proportion. I know I for sure was tired of seeing a "legit" download of Acid Memories or Closes Vol. 1 every other month or so, and eventually retreated to The Playground most of the time.

All in all, I'm glad this place is still running after all this time. I'm glad to visit a place that isn't driven by likes, upvotes, or (you)s, and one can just share some weird electronica from time to time. I feel bad that I don't comment on others' music much, or even BoC's for that matter, but I guess I just start to feel like I sound like Cal Chuchesta whenever I try

Also, it was a little disheartening to see louise hasn't visited since 2017, I vaguely remember that "new user breathing life into the forum" moment.

I think it my feelings are better described by fujee here:

It's difficult to discuss BoC when nearly everything has been discussed and their radio silence continues.

That said I still love making up BoC related puns and other such joys

The Playground and Random Sound are always good reads though, someone always has something awesome to contribute. I feel when people come here solely to promote their music and then don't become part of the community, that is a little annoying, but I guess they just want as many people to hear something as possible.

The irony of this thread is that it's surfaced a few rare posters and lurkers Welcome back..

Even if no one posts much on here, it's still one of my favourite places on the net. Great minds think alike.

Ironically this website peaked in 2013, less than a year after this post was made. And mdg started posting here much more frequently after this.
