I think this midwest gas station is a bit off-track for the following reason: every other clue so far has involved an audio clip code. Why would they suddenly switch to signs on a pole? It doesn't make sense. I think we're just getting impatient.

Just as an additional factoid Barstow, CA is mentioned in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas:

"We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold."

The third time i'm asking because i'm very curious--why exactly does a number badge on a power pole have any bearing on this code at all? Those are literally on most power poles in the country as linemen reference marks. Google image search "utility pole number tag", and you will see thousands upon thousands of them.

Freaky, just doing a comp of all the tone clues and on the last one at :36 on my time count you can clearly hear a young boys voice that's got a ring-mod on it say "don't go!"

People are just getting carried away "OMG LOOK THERE'S A NUMBER! LAST PART OF THE CODE!" because they're looking too deep in to this, beyond the point of ridiculousness.

I think it's safe to assume the actual location of the video has NOTHING to do with this game and everyone is just going bonkers, at this point.
