The album starts in 5/8 time presumably to announce the 5th album.

Also, the golden ratio point of this album (43.16) seems to coincide when the Collapse sample starts.
I’ve listened to the album once every day in its entirety on CD in the car. Prophecy At 1420 Mhz and Deep Time are beginning to exist in my mind in balance with the rest of the album.
Very similar to me - I listened to Introit/Prophecy/Tape 05 countless times before the full release, so those tracks did feel a little detached in my head. This is the first release I think of any album where I haven't really been hopping around after first listen, I keep doing full run throughs (though not in a single sitting).

Same here, I find it very hard to skip tracks so I just don't bother. I'm also SHOCKED that somehow I'm not tired of 'Prophecy' yet after so many listens!

Also, I feel nostalgic every time I listen to 'Deep Time.' It reminds me of when the song dropped unexpectedly, and we all felt a collective joy that we hadn't felt (in relation to BoC) for many years. Watching those first-listen reaction videos made me feel happy, I don't normally bother content like that but I'm glad I did. Reading the positive comments was amazing, too.

Very strange to feel nostalgic over something that happened less than 2 months ago!

I'm doing my absolute best to ration myself. Currently about 1 listen a day. But it is truly something special.

It really is. I was not expecting this to still be a no-skip album after a week.

It's really a 70 minute track.

Always nervous to play them for that reason. Will just have to roll the dice when the Inferno cassette shows up. I think I would have a much easier time replacing that one if something happened to it.

Plus at a personal level, it really connects with me. There's something a bit more "industrial" and "horror-informed" about it that I really like (but I've been a fan of BoC since I was a teen, a bit after Geogaddi was released and a bit before TCH came out, so it's not like I don't like their other albums! It's just that Inferno has completely blown my mind.)

yeah. i think it's my fave. we'll see how i feel in 6 months, but i mean... this thing's just amazing. i could tell there were tracks i'd need to chew on with TH when it came out. this, i just want to listen to it constantly (so i, too, am rationing my listens a bit!)

Y'all think they're just pulling samples from YouTube these days, or do you think they go to trouble to get original VHS copies of the stuff they sampled off Inferno?

A decent chunk of SxT tracks were the same rips that were available on YT or other places around the internet (The Other Stranger is the best example that comes to mind). The internet may be evil, but it's also near unavoidable in the modern day.
