i keep thinking someone's gonna hear some not-totally-obscure song and realize what the sample is, kinda like that earth wind and fire sample on the one song on music has the right

I think whatever vocal sample it used to be was disfigured and obscured to hell by the time they sampled it in the tune

that's what i thought about sixtyten for about a decade
maybe in 2023 we'll have it figured out

juxtaposion mabye? Palace posy...change the position of the words you get "Posy palace" something BEAUTIFUL (a florists shop) change the letter "Apocalypse" (somehting UGLY)

I agree about the juxtaposition. However, I get the feeling the idea of the track title is to represent a false sense of security, a kind of blindness to reality. The track plods along and it seems to give this sense of self-confidence which is kind of sad in a way, especially when its accompanied by that kind of melancholic melody after a minute in. The contrast with the rest of the album in tone kind of settles the significance of the song for me.

First spin on vinyl... this track is fucking masterful. When the vocal kicks in near the end... amazing!

Absolutely! I was initially put off by the quirkiness of the first section but then suckered-in completely by the oldskoolBOC feel of the chord-development and smashed-up vocal sample

A few people mentioned not understanding where this song fit in with the rest of the album. But it just clicked for me what they said in the interview about celebrating the idea of collapse. And well, look where this song comes in.

I see it as one of the more hopeful songs on here. Broken social structures and oppressive regimes have been obliterated. People build small communities and celebrate rebuilding a better more sustainable life. That's what *I* want it to mean atleast.

THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!

I honestly think this song kind of resembles music post-apocalypse, it's tribal and broken and any sort of musical root is distorted and obscured (the vocal sample). I think it's kind of an interesting take on what music could sound like after the fall of society.

And let's be honest, music is a powerful thing that brings everyone together, post-apocalypse it will certainly be a fundamental/elemental part to life. Though people probably won't have the same tech that the brothers have to make such music

I have about 5 tracks from this album that I consider my 'favourite' every time I listen to any single one of them-- Palace Posy included.

I hope the apocalypse really sounds like this.

hey guys, i am from germany and when i sat down on a beautiful warm summerday on the sixth of june (thats the day my "limited edition artbox" version of tomorrow's harvest arrived at my doorstep) at a quiet location outside of town the singing took me by surprise. it immediately sounded german to me and i was hearing "wir kämpfen, wir werden kämpfen..." when i later repeatedly listened to the part, it sounded less and less like it, but i could just hear those words, like a child, singing a foreign song with made up words in their own language (if that makes any sense to you. as a child i was singing along with english songs, not speaking a single word of english i used german words that sounded similar to what i was hearing)....

long story short. it would translate to "we are fighting, we will be fighting" and the style and sound of the singing reminds me of old cold war style east germany military marching or communist sing a long songs, tho a quick search for these words brought nothing up. so it just might be in my mind

i still love the idea (eventhough its probably just random blabber from me), since it would kinda fit the vibe of the "background story" of the album

This is what I heard the very first time I heard this song in the desert. And I brushed it aside and forced it out of my head until I read this! I hate you!

Not gonna lie, if I heard this in the desert I probably would have gotten up and danced like the hippie raver that's hidden in my soul. Then everyone here and on watmm woulda been like "what an asshole!" Haha.

For the you tube stream I did just that more than the acceptable number and it felt great to loose it, like we used to!

I like how this track is old tunes-esque, but it's probably my least favorite on the album.
