I don't see Beck as a singer songwriter though... I just see him as this maverick musical force that created a whole load of weird, moving and wonderful music.

I think Beck is boring, but this song is lovely, played it hundreds of times.

Different syntax than HTML: [ url=<yourlink> ] text [/ url ] (remove spaces)

haha i must be stupid. tried your suggestion but it's not working. Or do i have to add " " somewhere? Oh... how i miss the good old times with html of which i knew a lot of codes off by heart and i could still brag

Yes, Kurt Cobain was a genius, and so was Jim Morrison.

The singer-songwriters I tend to like the most are the ones who produce melancholic folk tunes with cyclic melodies. Sandy Denny, Karen Dalton, Devendra Banhart, Sibylle Baier, Cocorosie. I also love a lot of French chanson and ye-ye such as Gainsbourg/Birkin and Anne Sylvestre and the Turkish singer Selda Bagcan.

Oh yeah, Morrissey most definitely. I grew up on a diet of Morrissey and The Smiths, and I feel a strong connection to them.
Morrissey still has biting lyrics these days, he's a genius. Amazingly beautiful lyricist.
And Johnny Marr? Best guitarist in the world IMO.
