Haven't listened to the xx or Tribe Called Quest albums yet, but I've got high hopes for both.

Burial released a new EP just a week or so ago called "Young Death / Nightmarket".

Young Death is alright, but Nightmarket is just amazing.

Another album released this year I've been listening to lately - the Doom OST for the game released in May of this year.

It's a fantastic soundtrack, swaying more to a heavier industrial/metal area - the notable standouts for me are "Rip & Tear" and "BFG Division" - as surprised by how much I enjoy the game as I was, this soundtrack blew me away that bit more!

I am never the type to share my music, I am usually quite secretive about it but seeing as it is my only publicly released music. I made a few loops for a notable UKHH rapper called Lee Scott this year and he used one of my tracks on his new album, I am insanely happy about it.

All of the instrumentation except the programmed drum track was made by me with a guitar and a reel to reel.

Just discovered Western Skies Motel. Their album Settlers is gorgeous. Guitar + drone instrumentals. Reminds me a little of Helios but more organic.

I think fans of Oneohtrix Point Never's early work would really dig this;



this really snuck up on me and gave me a good sucker punch. One of the best albums of the year for sure.
