I think the savaging of Corbyn by the media and political class has less to do with his supposed 'loony left' policies and unelectability, than the possibility that the current political conversation might be widened beyond variations of capitalist/consumerist corporatism, which currently obviously suits the liberal left establishment as much as the right.
It's an old cliche, but the fact that he's rubbing so many people up the wrong way shows that he must be doing something right.
