I'm still really enjoying inferno. So many good tracks on there. Abstaining from to many re-listens. It's a shame about the lack of interviews though.

I'm still amazed at how they managed to release an album called Inferno right before two record-breaking heatwaves strike Europe. Can't help but feel it adds something special to that whole album release.

You're not wrong, but this is kind of the new norm right? It's both a response to a long-standing trend and the inevitable continuation of that trend. Although not written as the words of the two members, given that this is a press release, it is natural to assume that this assertive phrasing reflects the members' intentions.

In fact, I think I like the second half of the album better than the first so far. Sometimes I'll start at The Word Becomes Flesh and go to the end.

Is it just me or is BOC doing this thing here where they're taking the emergent harmonic resonances of the sounds in this music and then building melodies around them so that when you hear the texture of a synth your ear catches an apparent melody that's in its harmonic resonances, then actually builds up melody around it?
I don't know if I'm making sense, but more than their other albums, Inferno seems to intentionally use texture like this to foreshadow and reprise melodic progression.
