If we were thinking the pioneer plaque on Hell Interface YouTube was their “hello, world” moment - then what does this BoC Instagram photo signal?

Haven't they mentioned many times in interviews that they are always filming? It's kind of their origin story as a band, and I think they hinted at one day making a feature length film. A visual album really would be the dream--but they are so resistant to tell you what to think about their music that I wonder if it would be hard to take away multiple meanings with a visual to accompany their music, or that the visual would speak louder than the music...

I don't feel like the Instagram selfie really means anything… Warp just recently filled the brothers and other artists Bandcamp accounts, now they are filling the Instagram account, to me it's more likely they're just trying to keep up to date on social networks and showcase their artists. They might use it to announce new material, but nothing points towards new stuff coming yet, unless maybe for the Hell Interface banner.

But maybe I'm just trying not to get my hopes too high to avoid disappointment if nothing happens.

Yep, they've mentioned in interviews many times that they are very interested in filmmaking and the psychological power of images, and that they showed their own films during their live performances. They also said waaaay back when (before Geogaddi) that they were working on a full length movie with an accompanying soundtrack.

I think it's really interesting that despite being an object of obvious fascination for them, they've barely released any of their film work publicly. The most we have is the kaleidoscopic Julie and Candy video that was reportedly used in their live show at ATP, the Dayvan Cowboy video, and possibly the Invocation video (this is attributed to "Melissa Olson," but it always struck me as the closest to how their films have been described - Super 8 footage with subliminals).

Oh yeah, there's also the video they showed at the Scottish Album of the Year award back in 2014, but the video quality available on YouTube is pretty bad.

I dunno man, 15 likes now? Usually it's 3, but now they seem to be reaching critical mass with this.

i saw that one. quite a lot of likes but none from the account is the picture they posted kinda stretched? seems a bit thin here

Someone on the BoC subreddit is claiming that on r/music supposedly a “music industry insider” is saying that the monoliths are boc. According to him , the post has been made and deleted 3 separate times. I don’t buy it, but it would be cool if it was BoC

They did like the DJ FOOD tweet in a thread about the monoliths being BOC after all. But isn’t the story about the monoliths (a tribute to an artist who passed away) already out there?

I haven't done much digging into the monolith story, but wasn't it confirmed that the Utah one was made around 4 years ago? Unless they played the long game here I doubt its BoC related, haha.

4 years ago was 2016 when they started liking tweets and releasing music aka remixes again. It's rumored that's when they actually started their new album/project

yea, according to satellite images the monolith was put there 2015/2016. Again i doubt it’s BoC, but man would it be cool. Finally some main stream coverage that’s for sure
