So since they've deposited mp3s into our accounts upon pre-ordering... can anyone comment on the quality? Is there any chance they were remastered too?
And man do I love the BoC twitter feed. That is the second time this summer that I've sprinted across town to throw cash in the bank for BoC. That was an exciting hour.

Was wondering about the MP3 DLs as well- but assuming they are just the same as we already have (but new to those who don't have the albums already)...
Guess the date confirmed? can come off this thread topic

Since Geogaddi is supposed to have a new mastering, it can apply to the mp3s as well...?

WOWOWOWWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. This is a dream come true! I'ma go for LP's first, then preorder the EP's later on if I have the money!
Also, even though Bleep was kinda a fiasco, wish I had preordered TH from there for that discount!

This is AMAZING news after having had to sell some of BoC collection recently. And I still have IABPITC and Trans Canada, the only two which retain a big difference to the originals (coloured vinyl). I wonder if the coloured vinyl originals will actually go up in price now?
Anyway, looks like mdg's advice for me to hold out for represses was genuine advice after all

Geogaddi and IABPOITC have just been re-
cut rather than remastered. This only affects the vinyl pressing so the mp3's should be just the same as they always were.
It would be interesting to know why they've re-cut just these two though. Its hard to imagine all six plates of Geogaddi (one per side) being damaged. My guess is that either BOC weren't happy with the original cuts of these two releases, or the original plates have gone astray.....

This is great news!
And I just recently sold TCH and Twoism for 230€ after mdg confirmed this is going to happen
I'd still like to wait a bit with my order, do you think the reissues will be sold out very soon?

I got the impression they stopped using DAT at some point. They did mention eschewing computers pretty much entirely over the years.

Well I doubt that DAT would be the first choice these days, but then when it comes to your actual master you can't have too many back-ups! Most people now store their finished masters on hard-drives with further back-up copies stored remotely. Other than that, and to bypass computers altogether, the only other option is to master to tape - big open reel things - the old-fashioned way, but these are notoriously difficult to store safely

Are the Twoism dudes supposed to appear overlapped over every album cover (and a TH image overlaps MHTRTC)?

MHTRTC market value has now dropped to under £20
TCH market value has now dropped to under £20
Twoism market value has now dropped to under £15
if you have these originals, even repressings of MHTRC and Twoism you are now back to square one.
Geogaddi market value could drop a bit, depending but not below £50-60
ABOITC market value for original sky blue will still be sought after so should remain good.
TCH ep market value for original white vinyl will still be sought after so should remain good.
Hi-Scores will drop too.
my predictions for the day

having said all that, the expectations and sound quality of these reissues wont be known till autumn. The Geogaddi one will be interesting, aside from weight of vinyl been lighter, the etching may change? and this 'different' gatefold is a wonder, perhaps they lost the original 'form' for cutting that sleeve?. not just all that but all these reissues, print/colour may differ to originals.
i've bought the 2 bundles now, i have managed to get 2 free albums and 1 free ep considering how much i made on selling some of the originals over the years.
yea i'm bad.

140g is still a heavyweight vinyl. Audiophile quality.
I hope the gatefold doesn't change too much.

FINALLY I get Trans Canada on Vinyl. Also updating my copy of MHTRTC as mine is a little glitchy in places now.
Great news and I'm genuinely happy for everyone who's been waiting to nab the likes of Geogaddi on vinyl. Believe me, it's worth the wait.

Delighted to see this was legit! I have most of the vinyl anyway, but wanted MHTRTC for ages so picked it up right away. Its a crazy good deal to get 3 LPs for what, like 60 euro? Fair play to the boys and Warp, I hope all those pricks who were selling boc gear for extortionate prices of late are sickened!
Also, well cool how they come with prints and stickers. Now we just need this boc-set and we're gonna be happy campers! Was a lovely treat after releasing the new album and all, good on ye lads!
EDIT: It would be heaven if they released the Geogaddi and MHTRTC cassettes again! Oh man..

It's arrived! (Not yet, technically)
BUT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS.
FINALLY!!!!!
Did you see that every single one comes with some kind of sticker or postcard?!
If only they did Hi Scores...

So happy they're changing the packaging on Geogaddi, I've very rarely seen a copy that didn't have some sort of tear or dent on the spine (mine was split on the top and bottom when ordered new).

now that you put it this way, i'm inclined to think it will be much stronger this time, so it could be for the best after all!
Warp/Bleep have i guess learned from the TH campaign, now reassured options of tracking for EU customers and this time we get the goodies and discounts for the TH pre-orders. We can't ask for more, so yea well done and thanks so much for caring with this great reward.
btw, the standard and premium shipping rates don't differ that much for the 2 bundles combined, about €4 or something! Happy Days!
