Will be checking out all the EPs tomorrow
Saw some scratches on the other vinyls, was waiting for it all to come in so I could send BLEEP all the pictures at once. Theyre probably going to have to replace half of my order

Anyone else getting LOADS of surface noise on both sides of Trans canada Highway? Cant see any clear marks or anything but sounds awful.

So the only record I could find problems with was Campfire. It was FULL of scratches.
All the others LOOK pretty good, minus a possible mini scratch or 2
So heres the issue
I cant play these until christmas when my I finally complete my sound system. Do you think BLEEP will still be exchanging bad records in a month?

Can't see how they could refuse. What if you were given them for Christmas for example?? It's not like we're talking
next Christmas

Under the Coke Sign and the remix are unlistenable due to a repeating noise on every revolution, mostly on the right channel. No news in here.

I can confirm that there is nothing wrong with my copy of The Campfire Headphase. There is a silver lining, everybody.

I'm in a similar situation, don't have a current working setup (will soon). Except I ordered most of my records from Amoeba. This may present complications if I get any duds.

The noise on Under The Coke Sign may just be part of the track.
Take a listen to the digital version. There is naturally a lot of background noise and pops/crackles.

I preordered the 3 reissued LPs but I have no turntable (yet) to play them. This topic had inspired me to take a close look at all the vinyl, and sure enough, a nice scratch across all tracks on Campfire side 4.
Sent a nice email to Bleep and they'll send out a new one, no questions asked. Got the same email response that was posted here before.
Not a huge deal, as I can't play them yet anyway, and I trust Bleep to make it right. Luckily the rest of my order looks pretty good. Can't imagine how much heat Bleep and the re-pressers are taking for this whole ordeal though....

Unrelated to topic:
I just realized that the BoC songs I have (aside from tomorrows harvest) are all SHIT quality! under 200kbps. thats what I get for being a crappy torrenter! Cant wait to download these mp3s in high quality!
(600th post!

Bleep are just a shop - though I can't imagine the guys at The Vinyl Factory (where most of these bad pressings have come from) are having the time of their lives with all of the pressing issues.

Just got my Geogaddi replacement yesterday, but getting the same issues as I had with the first copy: audio distortion predominantly on the left channel with B3 Julie And Candy, B4 The Smallest Weird Number, D4 A Is To B As B Is To C, D5 Over The Horizon Radar, E3 You Could Feel The Sky, and E4 Corsair

I contacted MDG about this and here is what he has to say about this issue.
The main point is that a batch of the initial run of re-presses was not properly quality-checked by the specific pressing plant in question. This was apparently damage caused to a set of pressing plates after initial test-pressings had been approved. Those faulty records are being re-pressed for customers, at the pressing plant's expense.
So I'd say the parties involved are doing the right thing. I think it's best to contact Bleep if you're affected with a certain vinyl and they will take proper care of the situation. The more information they receive the better they can try to pinpoint all the possible errors that have occured at the pressing plant.

I don't want to be rude, but I know what a faulty vinyl is and what BoC's 'stylistic idiosyncrasies' are.
And this is clearly a vinyl defect that is ruining the sound on the right channel:
Meanwhile I received the standard Bleep support email:
Hi there
Many apologies for the problems with your vinyl that you have highlighted.
Whilst this is a limited problem, it is clear that there have been serious failings in the quality control at one of the plants used to produce the represses.
Warp are working on identifying the causes of this and producing replacements for anyone who has bought a copy affected by these problems.
This is going to take several weeks, but be assured that you will receive perfect replacement discs as soon as possible.
We will be in touch when these are despatched.
We are grateful for any photographs, recordings and descriptions that you can send, which can be used as evidence in our dealing with the plant in question.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
As for your copy of Music Has The Right... we are able to replace this now. This will be dispatched in the next 1-2 days.

Christmas came early and I was able to play some of my boc on my new system.
Holy shit does geogaddi sound good. I had to play it first
Didnt play through EVERYTHING but was very satisfied with what I heard. A few out of the ordinary clicks / pops on trans canada side b, but nothing major at all.
didnt bother trying to play the campfire disks that were scratched.

No problem. No rudeness inferred what so ever

. It was just something to consider.
Obviously I hadn't heard your particular copy, but from seeing the screen shot of the waveforms, ouch, looks like it's particularly buggered.
