Even though I ended up selling it I think the monomachine is great for percussion as well. I liked it better than the MDUW. I still have yet to find and drum machine or grove box I click with though sadly. I've considered the TR8 and Rytm. I think the TR8 is a better price to take a chance with but then I think oh I just use samples anyway so what's the point?

Was there any particular reason that Half Price Books had one used copy in near perfect shape of R Plus Seven in their "Pop/Rock" aka "literally everything else because we're too lazy to have an electronic section but have too many copies of Fat of the Land" section? Probably not and I'm sure the guy who sold it probably bought it online and ended up hating it. Whatever the case, it's now mine. They also have one copy of Front 242's Front by Front, oddly enough, which I would buy for its cheap price of one dollar if it weren't for the fact that the jewel case is completely destroyed.

I snagged a copy of the latest Nazoranai release today, along with a compilation LP of Japanese kabuki nagauta music, which I have yet to listen to. It's exciting to suddenly find some Keiji Haino at a record store I've been visiting for years.

This is my first time listening to the Nazoranai album and, as good as I was expecting it to be, it managed to be even better than my expectations.

I know nobody's going to care, but I actually managed to snag a copy of Current 93's Thunder Perfect Mind on Sunday. This has been my dream record for a while now, and I still can't believe I actually got a copy of a record I thought I'd never see. It should be arriving next Tuesday, so I have to make sure I don't die until then (which may be a problem if this suspicious bump on my neck is serious).

Also, I have a promo copy of the Multiple Otomo Project in the mail, which should be here tomorrow.

Vinyl or CD? Somewhere I have a CD of Thunder Perfect Mind. I think the only Current 93 vinyl I have is Earth Covers Earth. I must dig it out again and have a listen.

Having just received it today, I understand now why it's so rare and valuable: the records, the packaging, and the insert are all awfully fragile, and I don't imagine them lasting long for someone who listens to the album frequently. The insert is actually thinner than regular printer paper, it's like the pages to those cheap Bibles. Earth Covers Earth is a great one, and on my list of C93 records to get next.

A friend of mine had/has TPM on vinyl. I remember it being quite beautifully packaged. You've done exceptionally well to find one.

Nah, the packaging is minimal. Just a plain, thin jacket with two discs and a Xeroxed insert. The back of it is quite vibrant if that's what you're thinking of, but it's nothing fancy.

It didn't really take a lot of searching to find it, just a lot of patience and enough dedication to spend $93 for it on the spot.
