Man, if you'd played this for me in 2007 and said it was Bibio, I wouldn't have believed it for a minute. I'm still completely mystified as to how he's going to glue all of this together in the actual album...it'll be a hell of an accomplishment if he pulls it off.

Thank you for that. Hell of a first post, and very lovely little interview. It's always good to hear another solo artist discuss why they make music alone...I've had that conversation countless times, so it brings about a nice sense of solidarity to here others describe it as well.
Also, I think it's a great move that Stephen's getting out there and doing very straightforward, honest interviews, keeping in touch with fans, and hitting up lots of avenues to make his music available. If I had to guess, it's almost like BoC urged him not to seclude himself in obscurity, thereby avoiding a lot of the hassle they've had.
Either that or he's just a straightforward, honest guy.
Ockham's razor suggests the latter.

What a thoroughly likable bloke. The interviews are doing a great job of making his music more accessible but without de-mystifying it in any way. Makes me wish BoC would open up a little more.
