As purchases go, Bioshock Infinite arrived today (unexpectedly). From what I've played of it, it's so darnsies good.

I just got Bioshock Infinite as well. Haven't gotten a chance to pop it in yet though.

wow at Diabolous for that find that looks incredible! Should get you some great samples but I hope you appreciate it in its own right as well.

As for myself, I recently nabbed a Sinclair ZX81 on eBay! It hasn't arrived yet, and i don't know how to copy those eBay flash pics, so here is a random google image with the 16k expansion that mine is coming with:



I've owned a Jupiter Ace for a while, and I love vintage computing, but two factors led me to shell out the dough for this.

1. A guy in the UK is making expansions called the ZXpand with a separate audio AY module, so this is now going to become my official machine for chiptune sounds.

2. Aphex Twin got started on one, when he was a kid he won a contest for creating sounds via TV, even though the computer didn't come with a sound card. That's brilliant!

I also ordered both the ZXpand and audio module from sellmyretro.com. Total damage done $315US.

^^ Awesome. I saved my parents from throwing away their old TI-99/4A. It's a lot of fun to play with, especially since we have the speech synthesizer. I really need to get an adapter so I can throw away the gigantic TV I have to plug it into.



This is my most recent purchase. Best $6 I've spent in a while, and it will probably be put to good use tomorrow or the day after.

Got a vintage instructional vinyl on how to work a CB Radio. Found it at a thrift shop and had to get it; given it's mostly talking I couldn't ignore the opportunity to sample and manipulate it!

I'm late on posting this, but BIOSHOCK INFINITE!! Holy fuck what an amazing game..I've already beat it, and am about 6 chapters into 1999 Mode. I would go as far as to say this game is probably the most engrossing thing I've played since Half-Life 2..highly recommend to any fans of the genre!

Considering whether to replay it on easy (so I can go through spotting details in retrospect, and to manage getting all the Voxophones and Sightseer stuff (can't believe I missed stuff after exploring so much)) or on 1999 Mode (to challenge the shit out of myself).

I got it 2 months before the western audiences.
Great single or multiplayer game for family or friends to enjoy for Wii U.

It's definitely worth a replay dude! I scoured and searched everything (or so I thought) and still managed to miss about 5 Voxophones and Sightseers. I went thru chapter by chapter for the Voxophones, and am doing the Sightseers on my 1999 playthru. It is hard as hell though! Super fun, of course.

What an amazing game. I only missed a couple voxophones and sightseers too. I'll be hunting for it's platinum sometime soon. Probably after I beat the first Mass Effect on my PS3, which is my new purchase.
