Actually I think you're right. There probably is no reason to willingly get hoaxed or trolled unless you consider it fun. (I still thought that hoax was fun.) But yeah, my bad.

I think there should probably be an unwritten rule that it came from reddit, it's fake.

I think it's fair to remind you that while I created an initial really vague idea on reddit as a bored joke while trying out my new strymon magneto and it was littered with stupid obvious bullshit clues to be an obvious joke, it was you, collectively, as fans that created the hoax and steered it the way it did, I just facilitated it to explore and prove a point, and have a little fun along the way of course.
Lumping that exercise into the category of fakers trying to pass off their own work as BoC is unfair. It is what it was and some people enjoyed it and some got ridiculously butthurt about it. Those people need to get a grip.

Next year is 20th anniversary of Geogaddi. TH was released on the 15th annyversary of their first record. I'm sure there will be something huge on the 20th anniversary of the second and arguably most aclaimed record to date.

My post does read negative and sounds bitter haha, but it's not. Just a reminder for people to remember the reality of things and their roles within them and not to lump everything in the same category.

hmm it seems like i'm a minority in liking the fake tracks? Never would have guessed that. I thought more people enjoyed them

Talking about the private/unlisted videos, I'm checking every day my YouTube home page and a blue dot never appeared in any of the three channels (AtalantaFugiens, Hell Interface, BoC).
The blue dot seems to indicate new activity on a YouTube channel, maybe for the BoC channel could be the frequent update of the albums playlists, but in the other two no playlists are present.
Very strange, maybe a YouTube bug as only some people are getting the blue dot?

Not only that, if you look through his old posts, he was constantly responding to the exact same garbage: people claiming BOC were never releasing a new album, that they were "pumping out BOC merchandise instead of updating them about the new album," that MDG was lying and didn't actually work with Hexagon Sun, a few people falsely claiming to know the band and spreading fake rumors about why the album hadn't been released... I don't blame him at all for stepping away. I probably would too.

I think this thread would make for a good psychological analysis on a collective fall into insanity (in the best way possible).

I buy the TH sounding one more, but I think it would be pretty damn funny if BOC were lending Adult Swim music to tease the BOC fans.

The one kind of trolling that I'm sure everyone on here approves of XD

AS has the bumper concept, small audio/video pieces that I think appeal to the brothers, who have always liked little interludes between larger bits. So it wouldn't too surprising to me if they were using this format to tease fans. Fwiw, if you change a few notes, drop an octave or two and add reverb, the Smile bit on AS reminds me a lot of the beginning of Cold Earth. I may be crazy but it feels similar to me.

MDG, how about it? Are we completely off our rockers on this Adult Swim bs?
