Big think.

We're also a bit further along though. I'd give it one or two more years. Or hell, even this one if we're truly lucky.SamuraiDrifter wrote:Here's a fun quote from MDG back in 2009:

I was mostly referring to the "more than one record" part.Echelon wrote: We're also a bit further along though. I'd give it one or two more years. Or hell, even this one if we're truly lucky.
I think this is a good example why he doesn't tell us anything though. It's for ours and his own good.

Big shame if they do that. Geogaddi is my absolute favorite electronic record in history.
Also, Geogandi, i didn't mean you either. I mean all the copycats afterwards. I think your plan was Joker-esque, in a good way.And again, we got the Pioneer Plaque afterwards, so perhaps you should do it again haha
Knew nothing about these. Seems, like this is a 20th annyversary t-shirts [https://bleep.com/release/100873-boards ... ck-t-shirt]. Also where'r mentioned lithographs?ColinWallis wrote:yeah, some Geogaddi anniversary shirts would be amazing.
love my mhtrtc anniversary tee

The music is more convincing, for sure. I think the sample/field recording is what's selling it to me.ColinWallis wrote:in my opinion this italian clip is even more convincing both auditorily and visually
i disagree about the visuals. the only reason the "turn that smile upside down" clips is any more BoC like is that it is grainy / VHS like or something, but otherwise personally i would argue it is less BoC like with the subject matter.. but still, i find the music pretty much just as convincing..Sherbet Head wrote:The music is more convincing, for sure. The visuals on the first clip seem more BoC-esque though. The balloon clip seems a bit too random/silly, and the cinematography itself is cleaner and more defined than the footage usually associated with Boards.
Anyway, in all honesty, I don't think there's any relevance, I'd love to be proven wrong though!

the smile clip is heavy Tomorrow's Harvest vibes, and the Italian clip sounds very Geogaddi to me.arvy wrote:So if Pioneer plaque date is 1972-03-02, could boc in their next record, got back to their warmer 70's nostalgic sound. TH was influenced by 80 vhs horror movies, tho it was a darker and colder album.
Or if you really want to drool, you can read them all on one page:SamuraiDrifter wrote:Here's a fun quote from MDG back in 2009:

Probably yes, I opened that clip randomly so there might be other ones around there, maybe even in AS pages in other languages? By the way I'd be very surprised if they decided to send a message through a page in italian.ColinWallis wrote:the smile clip is heavy Tomorrow's Harvest vibes, and the Italian clip sounds very Geogaddi to me.arvy wrote:So if Pioneer plaque date is 1972-03-02, could boc in their next record, got back to their warmer 70's nostalgic sound. so if these are real (not saying they are), it seems like we might be getting a nice range of sound on this one.
personally, i'm actually finding these clips rather convincing. more so after seeing the Italian one.
i wonder if we may have missed any?
I was introduced pretty late to boc, maybe three years ago only or so. geogaddi is my favorite album of all time and as a """producer""" (i insist on the quote marks), I still can't figure out how they turned the flutes/whistles or whatever on Julie and Candy into this cacophony using two tape decks, how the hell they found that melody in Dandelion (one of my favorite melody they ever wrote), the "bleep" sound in The Beach at Redpoint, the drums/percussions on Gyroscope, if the flute on Opening the Mouth is actually sampled from another record or played by them, and a lot of other things - but I don't want to look like an obsessive fan lol. so, of course a read/article/book on the production in geogaddi would be insane but I guess i can still dream of it as it - probably - won't ever happen.arvy wrote:If not music, or even something physical, I would love to get some deep dive read in to the creation of Geogaddi. Mhtrtc was just a little far away from my generatio, the Geogaddi is directly connected to my discoveries of electronic music. My first boc track was from Geogaddi and overall boc took my attention because of this album.
I still have the belief that Sometimes was a sneak peak at their new sound, and indeed, it's warmer, sweeter and more nostalgic than TH. The "you okay?" also makes me think it might be a consoling album.arvy wrote:So if Pioneer plaque date is 1972-03-02, could boc in their next record, got back to their warmer 70's nostalgic sound. I wasn't convinced of this one, but it sounded so familiar...then I realized that the ambient noises in the background on this clip are so flipping similar to the Hooper Bay Circle clip that I'm just finding it impossible at this point to not hear BoC in this one. Of course, that would be insane, right?Echelon wrote: Edit: Also the italian Adult Swim clip is growing on me. Definitely sounds like one of their weird acid influenced tracks, like Sherbert Head.
Do you mean the original melody that you can hear when you reverse the track?PROJECT NULL wrote:how the hell they found that melody in Dandelion (one of my favorite melody they ever wrote)
