I certainly wasn't expecting to find this beauty at the store today for only $16. It looks and sounds great for its age!

Strange to find this specific album after I was just thinking about listening to it again. Nothing cheers me up at the darkest times like a good record. Bonus points to whomever recognizes the cover.

Oh god! I haven't seen that album in a looooong time. An old friend had that album. The Legendary Pink Dots. I don't know the name of the album though. He only played it once or twice for me and my brother and I remember how weird it was. I'mma go look for it in a minute to give it a listen. I didn't really appreciate super weird stuff back then as I was pretty young at the time. If I'm not mistaken it was kinda like Depeche Mode + Pink Floyd-ish, but way the hell weirder than either of them.

It'll blow my mind when I listen to it again if my memory is right. Because then I would remember something like that, but not that "Ambient" Moby album I bought years later that I didn't remember AT ALL until just recently lol.

It's the Crushed Velvet Apocalypse, and by your description I'd say you're remembering it pretty accurately. It isn't their most solid album (9 Lives to Wonder), but it has some great tracks. The first three or four are the best. 9 Lives is expensive as hell on vinyl, though.

9 Lives to Wonder is one of my favorite albums ever. Most Pink Dots albums are a bit hit or miss, with a few tracks that aren't too memorable, but that one solid from beginning to end, and every track is great in its own way. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes very pretty melodies and psychedelic vibes.

From Here You'll Watch the World Go By is good, too, but I'm completely unfamiliar with anything they've done outside the '90s.
