'Torn Under The Window Light' both horrifies me and makes the hairs on the back of my kneck raise at the same time, beautiful!

man, i know! I'd really like to hear this album but the stream just wont work. Also, when the hell will the 2xlp be up for sale?Mexicola wrote:Anyone else finding the Mush website an absolute pain the arse tonight? It seems to freeze with unerring regularity. Never really enjoyed Bibio up to now, but after weeks of ignoring this thread I figured "If you can't beat em join em" and checked out the preview tracks. Fan-friggin-tastic!
I JUST WANT TO BUY THE BLOODY CD NOW! Arrgh!
also, has anyone given a date on the EP that is coming out? I'm way out of the loop when it comes to Bibio, sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere.

Got the CD from Juno. Only took a couple of days to arrive, even with all the snow round here.Mexicola wrote:Is the cd actually on sale yet? I'm getting conflicting info. Some places say it is, others seem to think it's not on sale until next week. I now the downloads are available but I'd prefer the cd. Anyone?

Maybe a few more listens? It just sounds like same old predictable Bibio to me, with a few changes here and there.

Good art just works this way.

the synthesizer @ 0.46 kills me completely, I drift off to an ocean of nostalgia when it plays for a couple of seconds.

I'm not really that big into Bibio, but I downloaded that one immediately upon hearing it.

It's pretty obvious for those that have the hardcopy album, but I thought this was interesting...in the liner notes, part of the lyrics from "Mr. and Mrs. Compost" describes the album cover:
"A story tells me that there is a couple there, buried 'neath the twisted roots, older than the tree itself, older than the ruined farm...side by side and holding hands, and that's the reason why that tree is beautiful."

I was reading the lyrics while listening to it, and I cried. Sad but beautiful.Skytree wrote:It's pretty obvious for those that have the hardcopy album, but I thought this was interesting...in the liner notes, part of the lyrics from "Mr. and Mrs. Compost" describes the album cover:
