To show me that he clearly is very religiously inclined, very closed minded and it only reinforces my opinions about him.

If he ends up getting the Republican candidate, my plan is the same as it was before. I will not vote in the 2012 general. I would advise you to do the same. Neither Romney or Obama deserve your vote, they are corrupted scumbag liars and they will not act in your best interest. The only difference is in which way they choose to fuck you over.

Sorry, I don't agree with healthcare regulations currently and I'd rather have somebody that maybe, just maybe could be better, rather than someone that I know is quite mediocre. Romney is very phony, could be just as much of a liar as Obama it seems, but I'd much rather have him if I had to choose.

I just can't even vote for the lesser of two evils now. If Romney gets the candidate it's literally "right wing religious, bigoted, sociopathic flip-flopper who knows a lot about business with potentially dangerous initiatives" vs. "moderate clueless, inconsistent flip-flopper who knows very little about business with no initiative whatsoever". No thanks, I'd rather have nothing to do with the inevitable pain.


I mean, the Obama and Hilary ticket wouldn't be enough. If Hilary were running and formed an entirely new cabinet, then I'd for sure vote for her over Romney. She has some experience, and she's fairly open-minded.


But the Obama administration is just so god damn lost in a sea of confusion and has not followed through with its single job, clean up after the Bush administration and put us back on track. I'm not voting for it again and I'm not voting a Romney administration. One of these days, people have to get it into their heads that they don't have to stand for this bullshit political system.

It's all really guess work. I can only hope that Ron Paul is honest like he seems.

If you want to get down to it in the end though without cutting corners, it's simple. Educate yourself, take care of yourself physically and mentally, and arm yourself with at the very least a .45

It's nice to think that you've got someone at the top looking out for you but in the end, people who are in power are going to try and take advantage of those who are not about 95% of the time, and they will run with it. It's a tough world and the only way to TRULY make it, you've got to be looking out for yourself absent of the state. Which is why I'm more and more every day considering just being a flat out anarchist. The only reason I haven't yet is because I'm hoping that maybe this political system might recover. Sadly, it seems to be engineered quite specifically to only produce results that will screw you over as an individual, remove your personal freedoms and instead replace them with a moderate amount of security and a bunch of worthless consumerist gadget shit to make you happy enough and docile enough that you accept being a peon and turn a blind eye to the fact that unless you knowingly rebel against the system (which involves breaking some "laws"), you will remain a non-free person.

Yeah, maybe that's a point some people like, like the Obama election.

However there's probably better ways to break social barriers than to put someone in position that can't do the job.

But I would support Hilary though as opposed to Obama. She has a track record and honestly all social points aside she'd probably make a good president.

I never said Romney would be an amazing president, or even one that's that different from Obama or truly cares about Americans. I'm quite indifferent of who wins myself, but all I'm saying is I'm pretty OK with the idea of putting in a new guy and seeing what happens, since we know for a fact Obama isn't very efficient either. Anything's possible right? Or we could just assume everybody we don't know personally is an evil puppet of the banks!

You have to realize in all societies past and present, most of the time the government doesn't really care about you personally. It's common sense. The government is a business designed to do what other businesses cannot. I want the government to do what it was made to and to stay out of my business, hopefully not too much to ask.

Also, please form your opinion on Ron Paul by his record in politics and the changes he wants to make. If you haven't realized by now, anybody's money is good. Just because you take a donation from somebody doesn't mean you're going to do what they want. If you think Paul's dumb enough to do something like that don't consider yourself a supporter of him.

But besides, what makes the this donation that bad? The Koch brothers support Paul because they both share libertarian ideas. I'm not saying the Koch brothers are wonderful people, without a doubt they are far from it, but it's just a goddamn donation, if anything you should be glad people are donating to Paul to help him get his message out, no matter what their personal intentions are.

I think America has a ton of problems right now, some of them may never be fixed, but I still think this country is fucking amazing, second to none in fact, and we've accomplished things many couldn't have imagined possible. I know people are going through tough times right now, but the more I read through this thread the more I get the feeling that some of you are ungrateful of where you are. You obviously don't have to support Romney, Obama, Paul, or anyone else in order to love this country. If you haven't realized, we're still doing a lot better than most are in the world right now. Please at least try to be proud of where you live.

didn't really mean to say i'm taking all support away from ron paul, or anything. it's just a little thing. you're right. it IS all about what he does with it and if/what he does in return. also agreed that a switch up in POTUS would be nice, no matter what it is.
