i think hexagon sun was at one time boc-ish. i wouldn't think whomever would still be part of this alleged aggregation would know what boc has been up to for quite a while

For once and for all, mdg is legit and I got many reasons to believe that, whether you guys believe it or not is up to yourselves.

Sorry Ae. I sure would like to know what your reasons for giving him credibility. In the 2+ years that I've been a member here, I've doubted nearly everything he has said. In other words, he's gave me no reason to believe him.

Of course I know he's legit, but I wonder how much he actually knows. That's all. I'm not angry at him either. If he's withholding info that he's not supposed to share then good for him. But whoever is keeping him from sharing better let him talk soon.

Sure we believe he is real. Problem is, his word is not more trustworthy than ours.

So what's the point in having a legit source of incorrect information?

But why talk about mdg at all - has the black box already become boring by now?

By now a new album wont be quite as exciting as it would have been a month after the box. So I'm confident the box was not a teaser, that window has passed.

As said before, mdg registered here with an email from the hexagonsun.com domain. I've had a few chats in the past where he displayed his motives, that to me is more than enough to believe it. Let alone all the rumours he debunked over the past years on twoism.org.

The verified mail account is definitely one of the best arguments which no one can't deny.

Anyone can spoof an e-mail address BUT no one is able to use a spoofed e-mail address to have an actual back and forth conversation with. You need legit access to the credentials of that mail account in order to see mails that have been sent to that specific address.

I shall give you guys one additional argument which will also proof he's not a troll. Over a year ago I've had a mail conversation with MDG including words about the official Boards of Canada facebook page which didn't have the proper url yet. In fact some person had claimed the url facebook.com/boardsofcanada . I've told him a procedure I've used on one of my pages to claim a url. He then succesfully used/forwarded this information and the url has been claimed to the band ever since. He also had bocpages.org and facebook.com/bocpages added to facebook.com/boardsofcanda and also to the warp records website.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't know why, but I remain skeptical. But I gotta take your guys' word for it.

In all honesty I could care less if he was a troll. BoC news is still at a standstill regardless of where you are on the internet.

About the whole silence thing. I don't think BoC are doing it to sort of raise awareness and mystery to the new album. Really I think it's just a build up of other factors.

First off, I remember reading in an interview around the Campfire release that Michael was considering moving to New Zealand, and Marcus was considering moving to China with his girlfriend. I'm guessing Michael moved because on the youtube channel of the ATP Julie And Candy, it says the location of the account was New Zealand. And I personally think that video was uploaded by BoC since that is an alternate take, and the video was apparently what really was at ATP (and probably Lighthouse, but that's another discussion). I'm not sure if Marcus moved or not.

So needless to say, I don't think the bros. have been around each other enough to make music. They've also said in interviews about how making music is very much a team effort, and how MHTRTC never had a track that wasn't half Michael, half Marcus. I doubt they'd be working on Music from such far distances emailing each other and shit.

Secondly, and probably the biggest of all, Michael has a daughter. For all we know Marcus could have a kid, too. It's not like us fans would have any way of knowing. Look, it's pretty obvious BoC were drug users, and they never seemed shy of others knowing that. Perhaps that has slowed down (or ended) with a little Sandison being born. Maybe that was a part of the music composing process. Even if they still continue to use drugs, I'm sure Michael's more worried about his daughter doing well in school and raising her than he is about music. A lot more.

Also, I don't think BoC realize the true extent of their fanbase. They've said they don't even read reviews, and they have little idea about what others think of their music. I highly doubt they read watmm or Twoism, so yeah.




Either that or they really just hate us and want to troll.
